THE GAP

African Motivational Movement, Nigeria was established as a response to the cry of the unemployed, less fulfilled and underachieved youths of Africa. These are those among who find it difficult to make a sustainable livelihood, waste valuable time on ill-promising career-path, lack adequate self knowledge and self direction, those who are unable to recognize their strengths to unleash their in-built potentials and talents and those living in frustrations and confusions. We observed that standing out of the crowd is independent on ones physical height, but on getting access to relevant information which are necessary for capacity development and mindset transformation. In 2013, a concerned youths came together to manufacture five (5) antidotes, such as; Career Re-orientation, Capacity Development, Entrepreneurship, Counseling and Consultation, to serve as cure and equally a road-map through which youths can achieve Self Actualization. Abraham Maslow, an American psychologist identified Self Actualization as the highest need every individual seeks to gratify, including the African youths. This group of concerned youths is what later evolved into a youth empowerment non-governmental organization, referred to as African Motivational Movement, Nigeria, popularly known as AMM in 2015.

The Big Picture

As a cooperate body, we envisioned, in the nearest future, to make Africa a place where dreams come true. We wish to create an enabling atmosphere where youths can actualize themselves with little efforts and stress. We want to sweep unemployment out of Africa. We want to see more creative and innovative youths transforming the image of our great continent. That’s why, we are working everyday to promote the recognition of in-built potentials, skills, strengths, talents and adequate self-empowerment in our youths. We are happy when we see youth making progress in their career, academic, moral, social, vocational and economic lives, because, we believe that successes in all these, brings about self actualization and satisfaction. Dreams only come true at the peak point of life fulfillment; which is the ultimate goal of everyman. As a body that poses to impact on lives, our board members are committed to regular upgrade in personal and team development. Excellence remains our undisputable value and we are seen as role models to other youths.

AMM Leadership

Our organization has 5 levels of operational organs, namely; The Executive Board, Editorial, Project, Disciplinary and Fund-Raising Boards. Hence, the Chief Executive Officer is the highest office in the organization occupied by the founder, Alabi Idris Opeoluwa. We don’t also give financial assistance, but only on special occasions where our Board of Trustees deem necessary.
